Activities include competitive analysis, capital project authorizations, M&A and divestiture opportunities, short and long-term planning, and performance monitoring.

Responsible for providing world-class transaction processing and reporting — both externally for shareholders and internally, for our global businesses, functions and geographies. Provide consultative, interpretive analysis and support focused on improving global business performance.
Investor Relations
Provide the investment community with timely, credible information on Dow's strategy and performance to increase interest in Dow equity and fixed -income instruments and to enhance shareholder value. Also work with senior leadership to ensure that they understand the investment community's views of Dow, including industry issues and the competitive environment.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Lead the corporate activity related to mergers and acquisitions, an integral part of Dow's strategic plan.
Strategic Planning & Business Analysis
Provide financial consulting to company management while maintaining and developing the financial analysis and strategy development technologies deployed across the company. Provide merger and acquisition evaluation support for company-wide or cross -business projects, and utilizes financial modeling and analysis skills to support value-based decisions.
Tax
Focus on tax planning and, managing tax risks, including income tax audits and tax litigation around the world, financial reporting for taxes and internal controls and providing excellence in tax compliance. Tax is a global function and interacts with business leaders and key functions on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and significant business transactions.
Treasury
Global function within Dow that ensures the Company's financial flexibility allowing the Company to fulfill business and corporate strategies. In addition, Treasury works closely with executive management to manage risk holistically by employing enterprise -wide risk management methodology. The Treasury processes strive for excellence and innovation in each of the key financial activities: cash management, corporate risk management, credit risk management, financial asset management, financing, and insurance.
Dow is looking for successful candidates for the Leadership Development Program Internship who are currently pursuing an MBA from an accredited University Business School program.

The Leadership Development Program Internship is intended for a select few MBA candidates who seek a challenging and accelerated career path to senior business leadership in a global manufacturing company. The purpose of the internship is to mutually assess the fit for a full-time position on such a career path. To that end, interns will work in small, diverse teams to tackle high-impact, business-related projects aligned with Dow's strategy. Interns are expected to apply their prior work experiences as well as the methodical tools and insights gained from business school to deliver fresh, provocative, and actionable solutions. Equally important, the role of each intern is to network across the company to develop their own assessment of Dow, our culture and the full-time career opportunity. To help enable this learning, each intern will also be aligned to senior level leaders as advisers and mentors, and will participate in organized networking events.
Primary Roles in the Program:
- Observe and recommend on enterprise-level (i.e. company wide) strategic issues, priorities, and direction.
- Use of Porters 5-forces, VBM, and/or equivalent strategic analysis frameworks to assess Global Business Units (GBU's) and corporate strategy, valuation creation of current and strategic alternatives.
- Participate as a member of the office of Corporate Development.
- Possible travel and exposure to other regions/countries as deemed appropriate for project.

The ideal candidate for the Leadership Development Program Internship possesses the following characteristics and qualifications:
